Sprue Bushings
Our Hot Runner components feature an Integrally Heated Sprue Bushing that is uniquely designed for high performance and reliability for Manifold and Direct Feed Applications, even with the most demanding molding cycles and plastic resins. Its unique integrally heated design ensures advanced heat transfer, providing a more consistent and uniform heat profile throughout the process. Additionally, a replaceable thermocouple is strategically positioned near the melt flow channel, allowing for precise optimization of processing conditions for all types of thermoplastics. This thoughtful design ensures that your molding operations run smoothly and efficiently, no matter the challenges.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Graduated Watt Density - Maintains a more uniform heat profile.
• High Refractory Insulation - Provides superior heat transfer.
• Streamlined Flow Channel - Provides for minimum pressure loss.
• Fully Sealed Construction - Maintains highest product reliability.
• Made of High Grade Alloy Steel - Increases durability and longer life.
• Replaceable Thermocouple - Allows for easy serviceability.

Machine Nozzles
Our Integrally Heated Machine Nozzle features a unique design that eliminates voids and air gaps, which often hinder the performance of traditional heated nozzle systems. With enhanced heat transfer capabilities, the Sensitip Machine Nozzle delivers superior performance and reliability, surpassing all existing nozzle designs.
A replaceable “Type J” thermocouple senses temperature adjacent to the melt channel. This accurate sensing system works in conjunction with a very uniform temperature profile to ensure superior processing of even the most critical of engineering materials.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Integrally Heated Design - Provides optimum nozzle performance.
• Streamlined Flow Channel - Provides minimum pressure loss
• Fully Sealed Construction - Maintains highest product reliability.
• High Grade Alloy Steel Construction - Increases durability and longer life.
• Replaceable Thermocouple - Allows for Type “J” or “K”.
• Three Tips Styles - Available with either a .500″ or .750″ Spherical Radius, accommodate a full range of Injection Molding applications.

Flextracoil
Our Flextracoil heaters were created to heat flow-through nozzles and sprue bushings in runnerless molding systems.Available in either flat, square or round styles, the Flextracoil can be coiled evenly spaced or with distributed coils. All styles are stocked uncoiled at Tutco and are formed to customer specifications before shipping.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — one of the big advantages of TUTCO’s hot runner component line is versatility. Whether you’re molding commodity plastics, engineering resins, or filled materials, the Precision series and associated bushings/nozzles are designed to support a wide range of resins and part shot sizes. Because they offer multiple gate styles, replaceable heater elements and thermocouples, and durable alloy steel construction, you can fine-tune your hot runner setup for longer life and more consistent results across different production runs.
When your mold uses a gate into the cavity, the size and shape of the gate affect things like vestige (the leftover impression on the part), flow efficiency, and how often you’ll need to service your tip. TUTCO’s exclusive “Flat Gate™” system is engineered to keep that vestige to a minimum and offer customization to meet your molding layout. The wear-resistant tip design means you’ll spend less time repairing or replacing tips—especially useful if you’re running filled resins or high-volume cycles that tend to accelerate wear.
A lot of molding issues stem from inconsistencies in temperature and flow, especially at the gate or nozzle. With TUTCO’s integrally heated sprue bushings and machine nozzles, the heater design is built into the body and the thermocouple is positioned close to the melt channel. This gives better control over the melt temperature and helps maintain a uniform heat profile. That means fewer surprises with material degradation, shorter cycle times, and more consistent part quality.
Choosing the correct component depends largely on the size of your shot, the number of cavities, the type of resin you’re running, and how cleanly you want the gate to show—or not show—on your finished part. TUTCO’s Precision series hot-runner bushings and nozzles are built for mid-size to large parts, offering multiple gate options, improved heat transfer, and replaceable tips and heaters so you can match the component to your specific mold run. This flexibility means you can select a design that handles commodity or filled resins, reduces tip wear, and supports more demanding production environments.
